Meals so far in Israel:
Arrived Wednesday and we went to Hudson. Great steaks!! Entrecote on the bone and a Long Island (?) steak are juicy, perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. Who could tell every meal after that would be awful?
That place in the Schuster Center for Thursday lunch. Food is awful. Salty meorav yerushalmi, cold mujadra, limp green beans. Yuck
Matilda on Thursday evening, stuffed red peppers have no flavor and are swimming in tomato sauce
Friends on Friday evening-OK
Shakshuka at Landwer on Saturday morning is way below average
I cooked Saturday evening, not my best meal.
Arepas in the shuk today, half warm, half cold, very salty. Oy! What's going on?
